I recently got my Tree Trimmings set back from a friend that I lent it to. I almost forgot that I lent it out! Now that I have it back, I've been playing around with it again.
I adore these retro looking ornaments and I especially like using them with White Craft ink on top of darker colored cardstocks. The white ink really makes them pop out against the darker cardstock.
For my card, I used rich jewel tones. I used Not Quite Navy for the card base and then a layer of Riding Hood Red. I ran a piece of Always Artichoke cardstock through the Big Shot machine in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.
I stamped the ornament images on Riding Hood Red cardstock with white craft ink and cut them out, leaving a red border around them. I then glued Natural Hemp Twine on the embossed cardstock with Mono-Multi glue. When that dried, I adhered the ornaments on top with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the "Holiday Greetings" from the Sincere Salutations set on Riding Hood Red cardstock with White craft ink.
I swiped the edges of the cardstock against the white craft pad to give a soft white border around the edge and then adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Have you started thinking about your holiday cards yet?? It's never too early to start! If you'd like to purchase any of the items I've used on this card, you can always shop at my Website.
Happy Crafting!

This is really nice, Erica. I especially like the colors you used - bright and rich all at the same time!
