That means it's time for another Groovy Give-Away!
Even being sick this week, it's actually gone by quite quickly for me. My husband mentioned the same thing.....funny how that happens sometimes.
So......for this give-away, I found some really cute holiday embellishments and knew they would be perfect as a give-away. The stickers are all really cute epoxy finished embellishments. They have a nice shine and some have gold or silver finishes to the outlines. There's also a pack of square brads that spell out the words, "Winter" and "Joyful." These would be awesome to add to cards or to scrapbook pages.
I wanted to add some extra laughs into this give-away. Remember that great video clip I shared with you a couple weeks ago? The "Inside Scrapbooking" video over at MockUTV.com ? If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you click on over to watch it! It's absolutely hilarious and pokes good fun at us die-hard paper crafters and scrapbookers.
Many of you know that Autism is close to my heart, as my son, Zach, is autistic. The great guys over at MockUTV.com are donating $1.00 from every DVD sold through January 1st towards Autism Support Daily, which is a FANTASTIC organization! Our numbers are climbing, but we'd love to see them get even HIGHER! Let's help out a great cause! You can use these DVDs as stocking stuffers or gifts for the scrapbookers and paper crafters on your holiday wish list. And make sure to treat yourself to one, as well!
***
This Give-Away is NOT limited to where you live.....so even if you are
outside of the US or Canada, you can still participate.***
So......what do you need to do to enter this Groovy Give-Away?
Click on over to ---> MockUTV.com and watch the preview video of this awesome mockumentary. Then leave
a comment on this post telling me what your favorite line from the preview is.
***BONUS ENTRIES***
* If you purchased this DVD already, tell me about it and I'll put an extra entry into the drawing for you!
* Spread the word on your blog or website about this fantastic cause, let us know about it (leave a

drawing!
I'll pick a winner on Monday (11/19) at 11 am (EST) and announce it here.

Hayley stole my favourite line. "I'm a scrubby...a scrapbooker's husband"
I *LOVE* that. I think that all of our husbands are really understanding, and the term "scrubby" is hilarious.
Also, I bought a copy of the dvd, and I can't wait to get it and have other favourite lines.

I had never heard the word "scrubby" before. I must admit, that tickled my funnybone, though the whole thing was hilarious.

It has to be , "I'm a scrubby..." for the win. The entire thing is fabulous, but that line made me spit out my Diet Coke!
Posted by: Sabrina | November 17, 2007 at 10:29 AM
I watched the preview and I had a few lines that I thought were funny, "I'm a Scrubby" and, "I am going to the hill, I have to get some inspiration", those were funny, and also "Who ever heard of an assistant? That's what a Scrubby is for!"

I think the great lines have all been listed already, but I love how the one lady talks about how she found a new husband (her scrapbook assistant) and they show the husband rolling his eyes. Very funny, I just might have to buy the DVD one of these days.

My second favorite is "A photo book is trash - paper doodles waiting for the trash can"
My favorite is the new found word, "scrubby" I just love it.

Hello Erika,
I can't pick a favorite from the clip, but it is definitely worth sharing and getting some great laughs!! My co-worker recently told me that he has an autistic son - we share a lot of conversations together about how the challenges that we face in life having kids who are not like everyone else's 'star' of the ___________ at school, etc. I think you are to be commended again for your dedication to this cause!

"I'm a scrubby"..the clip was hilarious even watching the second time around. Thanks for the chance of winning the groovy giveaway

I think the scrubby part is funny, but I also like the winning girl who talks about her mom having a picture of her with a shirt that says "future scrapbooker" on it when she was pregnant and she says "How can you compete with that?"
Posted by: Jen | November 18, 2007 at 03:55 AM
I'm betting my DH didn't realize he's a "scrubby" - that was my favorite part of this cute video. I put a link on today's posting on my web here - http://sueblondin.blogspot.com/2007/11/ramblings-this-and-that.html
later, alligator!

LOl Well There are so many it's very hard to pick a fave. Although at the end the "Trainer/Asistant to the CHEAT!" he say's something about what he'd really like to do is "have a horse ranch" Brokeback Mountian was all I could think of ( not in a bad way, just telling the truth!).. well I'm a goober and that made me laugh and ntruly run to the potty.

Hi Erika.
I Love this DVD. I got it way back when you first posted! HOW Awesome that they are now joining the cause! I will be purchasing a few of these to give away as door prizes for an event I will hold in January at my new Stampin Studio which is opening this weekend! Hooray! This has been MONTHS in the works.... but .. My Favorite part of the preview is when Missy Goldstein (name?) says her mom wore a tshirt when she was pregnant with her that said Futer Scrapbooker ... You can't compete with that!? LOL..
Thanks for all the weekly blog candy offers!
Huge hugs, Lourin

[those photo books are trash; they're] paper doodles waiting for a garbage can
hee hee!
i also love that they coined a term for the scrapper's hubby
Posted by: tammy b | November 18, 2007 at 11:45 PM
I have seen this before but it has been a LONG time! Seems like everyon wants to name their hubby's "Scrubby." Although mine would have to be Cascrknitcrubby... I crochet and knit and make cards and scrapbook.
He even asked me one day if I wanted to start spinning my own yarn too. Lord knows I've got enough hobbies for now!
Posted by: Tiffany Williams | November 19, 2007 at 05:55 AM
My favorite line is "I don't just put pictures in books". Scrapbooking is making your pictures say a story. Sometimes my stories are exciting, some are boring but they are still stories.

"Paper Doodles waiting for a trash can" and "I found a new husband" are great! I saw this a month or two back on youtube and sent it to my husband. For some reason he was not as amused as I was....
