It feels weird to be posting about a Friday give away when it's only
Monday.....and before that confuses you, let me explain. I'm in Florida
while you're reading this, but it's still only Monday night while I'm
typing this entry up. I'm trying to get as much done as I can before we
leave and I want to keep you all inspired and give you fresh creations
while I'm gone, along with making sure you also have a Groovy Give-Away
to take part in. That's one of the best parts about Fridays....I love
reading all your responses to the questions I ask. :)
So.......since I'm on vacation, your comments to take part in this give-away will be vacation related.
The
prize is a cute little set of clear acrylic stamps and a spool of awesome paisley ribbon.
***
This Give-Away is NOT limited to where you live.....so even if you are
outside of the US or Canada, you can still participate.***
So......what do you need to do to enter this Friday's Groovy Give-Away?
Leave
a comment on this post telling me where your favorite vacation spot
is....and tell me a little bit about WHY it's your favorite spot.
I'll pick a name with the random number generator on Monday (10/15) at 11 am Eastern Time and announce the winner here!
Spread the groovy love and send your friends over to enter, too! And while you're at it, if you haven't already signed up for my mailing list (which is that little box ALL THE WAY at the top of my blog, right under my picture), pop your email address into that box so that you don't miss out on any of the fun stuff I have going on outside of this blog, along with newsletters and more!
Enjoy your Friday!
Happy Creating!
-Stampin' Mama
Hi Erika,
I couldn't resist your Groovy Giveaway Friday, and was so excited to see that I can participate, even though I live in Australia.
My favourite holiday spot is a quiet beach about 2 hours drive east of Canberra. It is called South Rosedale, and it is peaceful, underdeveloped and just BEAUTIFUL :-). There are no shops, not very many houses, a gorgeous beach, lots of native trees.....and you can hear the sound of the surf crashing on the beach from the studio apartment we used to rent (pre-children ;-). We need to find a larger rental property to visit down there now!
I hope that your Florida holiday is wonderful!
All the best, and thanks so much for saving cards for us, to appear on your blog while you are away! I love your blog.
Sam.

Wow, I am # 1, not sure if that is good or bad. LOL The best vacation I have ever been on was when I was a teen and went to Florida with my aunt and uncle in an RV. We had a blast at Disney world. All the stops along the way was so fun, we left from MN.

My favorite vacation spot is my mom's house in Mounds, Oklahoma. She just remodeled and now she has a sweet kitchen to die for, a hot tub, a spa bathroom, and a huge flat screen tv. Better than any hotel and my kids can run wild and go feed the ducks and fish at the pond.

My favorite vacation spot is wherever we pull our camper to and unhitch!!! I trust you are having so much fun and can't wait to hear all about it when you get back home.
Thank you.

Our favorite place to vacation is the Jersey shore! Particularly Ocean City, NJ. It's such a great family town, and we tend to go in Sept. when the kids have a few days off (somehow, it tends to happen every other year). September at the shore is absolutely wonderful. BUT our all-time favorite, if-we-could-go-every-year-we-would vacation is definitely Disney World. Staying on property can't be beat. We just went in April, and that is a fabulous time to go: the weather is beautiful (not too humid) and Epcot has a gorgeous Flower and Garden show all month that is breathtaking.

My favorite vacation spot is going to the lake in northern Minnesota. It is the most relaxing vacation. They have big wooden swings you can sit in and look out at the lake. I take a good book and can sit there and read and just relax. I love it. There is nothing like it!

Our favourite get-away location is Lake Louise in the Rocky Mountains in Canada. You just can't beat the fresh air, wildlife, and pristine, turquoise mountain lakes. It is an absolutely stunning location, whether you choose to be pampered at the Chateau Lake Louise or spend an afternoon hiking up the side of the mountain to the tea house.

Up in your neck of the woods - Stowe, VT! No traffic - 'cause hey, there's no traffic lights! (Or does the blinking one count?) Great xc-skiing & snow-shoeing, good food, hilly biking roads for my hubby...
Thanks for another groovy giveaway. Hope it's sunny in Fl!

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere away from the race of the usual day-to-day where my husband and I can truly relax! This year, that place happened to be a lake house in NH where even our cell phones didn't get coverage (gasp!) and we played in the lake, visited the mountains, enjoyed the fresh air and spent time with each other and our son :)
Thanks for the groovy Friday chance!

My favorite "vacation" spot right now is a nice long soak in the tub with a good book. This time away is just the break I need from my two little ones!
Thanks for this groovy giveaway chance! Your blog is my first stop in the morning with my cup of joe! -Melinda

My family (or me alone) never really took vacations because we couldn't afford to. But I would love to spend time in the Smokey Mountains. Driving through there I fell head over heels in love. It's soooo beautiful.

my favorite vacation spot is actually not that far away. we have a cabin at the lake about an hour from our house and it's my favorite place to get away too. it's quiet, it's at the lake, a lot of family friends are nearby, and it's where i've spent every summer since i was born.

Chicago - love the lake, shopping and food!

My favorite vacation spot is Williamsburg, VA. We try and go every year. I love the Colonial American History, the beautiful gardens and the quiet days and nights. I also like to shop the Outlets there. We have a great time as there is something for everyone. The kids love Busch Gardens and Water Country USA (when the weather is warm.) Since it is only a 3 hour drive from home, we can arrive back home after a week away, and not feel like we need to rest after the vacation.

This is such an easy one for me....my favorite place in the WORLD is also there in Florida and the place is........WALT DISNEY WORLD. If I had enough money I would live there, rotating from resort to resort each Monday morning! Although it is not the real world as we know it, it is the way I wish the real world really was! It is truly the happiest place on earth. Just ask Mickey he will tell you too!

My favorite vacation spot is Berry Springs Lodge in Tennessee. It's the most beautiful bed and breakfast nestled in the Smokey Mountains, with mountain views all around. It's isolated from the tourist areas and a great place to kick back and enjoy the simple beauty of nature. The owners are extremely nice and make every effort to help you enjoy your stay. The nightly desserts and bountiful breakfasts are such a treat and the spa tubs and plush bathrobes enhance the relaxation mood of the inn. I was so relaxed and happy when we left there and I can't wait to return.

Well, that would depend if money was a factor.
If money is no object, than I would say my favorite spot would be on a Carribean Cruise because of all the beaches & ports of call.
If money is a factor, then I would say up north in East Tawas, Tawas Bay Michigan. It is like another world up there.

Well, my family and I have been on "camping" vacations since our son was a baby and he is now going to be 8 in a few months. We have camped in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont of course, but recently we went to Mississippi. We did not camp there, we took a plane, which was the first time that I and my 2 kids have flown, and we went to see my mom who I have not seen in 2 years. We went to her house in MS. for a week. It was in late February, early March. It was really different there then here to say the least. Much warmer, and NO SNOW!!! I think that we might be adding this to our yearly trips, we go camping for a week every summer, and I think that now we might be going to Mississippi in the later part of winter? It was a great experience for my kids to go there, we went and saw a whole bunch of the devastation from Hurricane Katrina, and believe me when I say, it was over a year later and there was STILL so much damage. It was sad to know that after all that time that there was still so much, I can only imagine, how bad it really was in real life. Of course a lot of us watched on T.V., but when you actually see it its amazing how bad it was, especially not hearing from my mom if she is alright? BUT other than that, I think that so FAR, since I really have not been to too many places, that visiting my mom was the BEST vacation that I went on.

I know you will think I'm crazy but the better place I like to take my vacation is HOME! I can do whaterver I want and rest! As my little girl have some food intolerence... I've got to bring everything to cook when away so it's a bit complicated. If you ask me where I like going in vacation the most before having my beauty...I would say New-Brunswick in Canada. They have wonderfull beach and people. It's just beautifull and I was leaving there when I met my husband!

Our favorite vacation spot is Disney World in Florida. I was never a Disney fan growing up so when my husband suggested we go there for our honeymoon I thought he was nuts. I fell in love the moment I got there and we have vacationed there every year since. Only 8 days until my next trip "home" to Disney World and I can't wait for the magic to begin.

Hands down my favorite vacation destination is Disney World- for me it truly is "The Happiest Place on Earth" It's safe, clean, the employees are personable and I've got a secret crush on Mickey.
