I've been feeling summer-ish and wanting to be on a Caribbean island somewhere today. It could be due to the fact that I had my sister's 2 kids here, as well as my own, basically since Saturday. Today was the day I was on my home, as my hubby had to be back to work today. Wow.....I'm beat after today.
I needed a break and so I sat down and regained a little bit of my sanity by making a card.
Yay for Kaliedacolor pads and rubber brayers. I love doing this type of technique by cross-hatching the colors with a brayer. It gives it such a cool look. And I especially love it with clear emboss resist.
This card was super easy to make....I just embossed the GinaK Designs images with Clear embossing powder on Glossy cardstock and then inked up my Caribbean Kaleidacolor ink pad with a rubber brayer and brayered once across the cardstock, then inked up again, turned the carstock and brayered across the cardstock the other way.
I used my Word Window punch to punch out a word to show the stamped greeting from underneath.
I used my 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to add glitz and sparkle to the fishes, the little air bubbles and the seaweed. It added the perfect touch to the card.
Oh, to be sitting on a Caribbean beach right now...under an umbrella, my sand int he toes, reading a book with a Shirley Temple in my hands. :) Maybe I'll take a ride to the lake tomorrow since it's the next best thing.
Speaking of GinaK Designs.....Gina is continuing the celebration of her blog and always has a great give-away going on at her blog. Check it out ----> A Day in the Life
Happy Creating!
