Yesterday started out as a little bit of a rough day. Stresses, noise, sibling squabbling between the kids. That can tend to put everyone in the house in a stinky mood. After a bit of this going on, David and I realized that we needed to get out of the house and de-stress. We had Zach's care worker here, so we took the opportunity to leave the two kids with her and take a walk into our field behind the house. Of course, the dogs had to come along, too!
We've gotten quite a bit of snow this winter and right after we finished our walk yesterday, we got hit with another 8 inches! David likes to take the snowmobile out back so we had a nice path to walk on, though I did sink into the snow in places right up to my knees!
It was so quiet and peaceful out in the fields, even though it was a bit of a workout to trudge through all that snow, but exercise always helps alleviate stress for me so it was all good. Looking at the Adirondack Mountains off in the distance, seeing their snow capped tops, only the noise of crunching snow beneath our feet and the dogs plowing through the snow.....I'm so glad we made the effort to go out.
