Groovy Give-Away Friday!

Groovy1

Dscn8909 It's a holiday weekend and I'm always looking for an excuse to have a celebration of some sorts. So......while we're enjoying the weekend and you're enjoying yours, I thought I would have a give-away. It's been a little while since my last one. I know this says Friday and today's Thursday......but we're headed out to go camping so I'm getting a head start on the weekend.

For this give-away, I'm offering up a mini scrapbook kit with a wedding theme, as well as small set of clear stamps that would work well with the scrapbook kit!

*** This Give-Away is NOT limited to where you live.....so even if you are outside of the US or Canada, you can still participate.***

So......what do you need to do to enter this Groovy Give-Away?

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post - about whatever you'd like to say.....it's YOUR turn to talk! :)

I'll pick the winner with the random number generator on Monday (7/7) at 11 pm Eastern Time and announce the winner here!

Spread the groovy love and send your friends over to enter, too! And while you're at it, if you haven't already signed up for my mailing list (which is that little box ALL THE WAY at the top of my blog, right under my picture), pop your email address into that box so that you don't miss out on any of the fun stuff I have going on outside of this blog, along with newsletters and more!

Thanks for reading!

And the winner is..........

Groovy1

I've got a winner!!!

Wow.....the Kitchen Sink Stamps & Tins give-away was GROOVY, indeed! 156 of you commented to be included in this give-away! It was quite popular! Thanks to everyone for taking part and for those of you that shared the give-away on your blogs! I so appreciate that! As always, I wish we could give away something to EVERYONE.

But.........the number generator could only pick one.

The winner of the Happy Birthday Cupcake set and the pack of CD Tins is: Erin Glee

Groovy Give-away, Girl! All the KSS are great, but #1 on my wish list is "Playful Alphabet"... I can see the letters inked in diff. colors and then colored in real fun. The font is a little bigger than the velum alphie stickers that I have...but could fill in for letters I run out of.....with 2 "e's" in one sons' first name and one "e" in the other sons' name, I always need more! --Just one of the reasons stampin' is so cool!
Posted by: Erin Glee

And speaking of other give-aways.....

There's one day left to enter my mom's fantastic Martha Stewart's Cookie Cookbook! Trust me, you WANT this book!

Oh.....and I won the amazing RockStar pack of 12x12 paper from Andrea over at My Stamping Heaven. I was TOTALLY STOKED to find out I'd won!!! I've never won any "blog candy" EVER! This will come in super handy in my scrapbooking!

Have a wonderful start to your week!

The winners are........

Agroovy12_2Wow!!! So many of you wanted to win this CD! It made me want so badly to give out 151 of them! Yup, that's how many of you commented to win this prize!

So........I'm feeling mighty generous today and decided that 2 winners would be so much more fun than just 1 winner! Again, I really wish that I could have 151 winners for this prize. I really do! Thank you so much to all of you that entered this give-away and for all the great comments that you shared! I read every single one of them! I may not always get a chance to answer every single comment that I get, but please know that I read every one of them.....and they all help to keep that big smile on my face going all day long!

So, I bet you're all wanting to know who the winners of the fabulous Paper Bag Book Trilogy Tutorial CDs are, eh?

Dscn7599 Okay, okay.....I'll stop keeping you all in suspense.

Hi Erika, just letting you know that I love your blog and your tutorials are great fun and I love to check your blog every day just to see what you've been up to.TFS  :)

Ever since you posted how you do laundry I have cut our families laundry by 1/3! Going from 10-11 loads a week to 7 or 8. My husband is a truck driver. He generates one load a week with his trucking, I have been more diligent in making my teen agers wear things like sweatshirts, sweaters, and jeans more than once if it isn't soiled. Things like towels get used more than once. If they don't follow the rules the consequence is to do the families laundry wash dry fold hang and put away for one week. My sixteen year old daughter did that once! :) (I felt kind of mean but she got the point!) I also have started washing each kids clothes as a load. This also saves time. I usually have one extra load of whites or light dressy stuff.

Well......I DID tell you all it was your turn to talk! And it made me totally happy to know that I can help a fellow mama cut down on her laundry. ROCK ON! (If you're wondering where those laundry posts are, you can check them out HERE and HERE.)

Also......if you would really love a copy of your own Paper Bag Book Trilogy Tutorial CD, you can find them here ---> Paper Bag Book Trilogy Turorial CD  I've gotten such great feedback about these! Very unique and easy projects to make and how can you beat 3 FULL project tutorials on ONE CD!

Some lucky winner of this give-away will get the CD for their very own!

There are 3 whole tutorials for 3 different styles of paper bag books on this CD.....great for making gifts, doing camps, great as mother/daughter projects.....etc. And they all use paper bags of some kind!

*** This Give-Away is NOT limited to where you live.....so even if you are outside of the US or Canada, you can still participate.***

And the winner is..........

Dscn7149Wow......I was so pleasantly surprised to see that many of you answered the same things as to what you'd like to see more of on my blog and the things that you really like here.

1) You want to see more scrapbook pages and you want to see the creative process that I use while putting them together.

2) You love the Bake it, Make it & Take It (BIMITI) feature! (my mom was beaming at all the comments about this, as food is one of her passions)

3) You want to see more techniques.

I can definitely accommodate you on ALL of those! I just posted a new BIMITI post tonight with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Brownies so be sure to check that out.

I've got some plans for technique posts coming up soon.

And on the scrapbooking front, I've got a brand new weekly feature that will be starting next week to show you how to put together beautiful but EASY scrapbook pages. I'm really excited about this feature because it will mean that you're all getting what you want to see but it also means that I'll be getting more scrapbooking done!

Speaking of scrapbooks, I have a winner for the mini album kit that I posted on my last Groovy Give-Away. Thank you to everyone that commented and played along.

The winner is:

Dana J

I love your blog. It's one that I get really excited when I see there's a new entry! LOL! But I have really loved the idea and treats. Make and paper craft/decorate and pair it with FOOD! YUM! Those are great and the recipes (I made the cherry cookies) are yum!!

It's time for a Groovy Give-Away

Agroovy12_2

Dscn7149 I just realized that it's been over 2 weeks since I did my last Give-Away! I've been saving this really great mini scrapbook kit for a Give-Away and now's the time!

I've got a nice, hot mug of chai next to me and a fresh banana chocolate chip muffin that just came out of my oven. The chocolate is still gooey and I've got plans for working on some cards with some new stamps that I just received. You can't get any more perfect of a day than drinking chai, eating something with chocolate and stamping.

It's also a good day for a give-away!

The winner of this give-away will get the mini travel-themed scrapbook that you see at left.

This is a great little kit that makes a mini book that is perfect for your vacation pictures....or even to journal in about places you're dreaming about going.

This kit includes:

  • 1 mini album
  • 6 8x8 papers
  • 1 sheet of rub-ons (and a plastic popsicle stick to apply them)
  • 12 epoxy stickers

The album closes with an attached ribbon and there's a cut out square on the front of each for you to personalize with your own photo.

*** This Give-Away is NOT limited to where you live.....so even if you are outside of the US or Canada, you can still participate.***

So......what do you need to do to enter this Groovy Give-Away?

Leave a comment on this post telling me something you'd like to see me show on this blog.....cards, projects, scrapbook pages, techniques, etc. What would like me to show more of? What haven't I shown here that you would like me to showcase?

I'll pick the winner with the random number generator on Thursday (3/6) at 11 am Eastern Time and announce the winner here!

Happy Creating!

Agroovy12_2Thank you to everyone that took part in the HUGE Groovy Give-Away post that I've had up since last Thursday!

I'm overwhelmed at the outpouring of birthday wishes for Zach, as well as the comment you've all left for me. The encouragement and support has been amazing! I know I've said this before, but it bears repeating: The love and support in the paper crafting world is second to NONE! THANK YOU!

This post got a total of 488 comments! WOW! I'm stunned! I wish I had 488 prizes to give out.....but alas, I only have 5 prizes. So with that.......here's the 5 winners!

The prize of the Stampin' Mama Artwork Inspiration CD goes to:
Karen
Happy Birthday Zach! I have three boys (and two girls-all grown up) so I know how important birthdays are to handsome young men like yourself! Thank you Erika, for all your work in autism awareness. Bless you and bless your work! I don't personally know anyone with autism, but was privledged a number of years ago to hear the awesome Temple Grandin (sp?) speak. There is much that can be done, and awareness is the first step! Thanks for sharing your gifts!
Posted by: Karen | February 18, 2008 at 07:34 PM

I'll be emailing all of you girls with specifics so be on the lookout in your inboxes!

As for Marcia's question about a list of autism resources and sites, you can check out the page that MockUTV has put up on their site for Zach's story. There is a list of links that I compiled in the left hand side bar that has all sorts of great web resources for getting started on learning about autism.

You can check that out by going here --->
Zach's page with links about autism

February 18, 2008

Thank you!

Agroovy12_2 I just realized that I put the wrong end date on my Groovy Give-Away in honor of Zach and Autism Awareness. The end was supposed to be today at 11 am, but for some reason, I was a week ahead of myself and typed the wrote date as NEXT Monday.

I was going to go in and change it today, but so many of you have been so awesome with spreading the word out there and forwarding people to my blog to read more about autism and I feel bad cutting it short, so I'm going to leave it open until Thursday of this week (2/21). I want as many people to be able to take part in this give-away and to learn more about autism.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments, for sending my blog link to others, for posting about it on your own blogs, for helping to spread the word. Knowledge is power and there is power in numbers, as well! The more awareness there is, the more powerful we become to give our kids a brighter future.

THANK YOU!!!

Make sure you pop on over to the Groovy Give-Away Post to enter this fantastic give-away!
