A creative scrapbooking retreat that will take you on your own personal and artistic journey....

When: April 4-6, 2008 (Friday through Sunday)

I've been anxiously awaiting this day and it's finally here! I've had plans up my sleeves and can now finally roll those sleeves back!

I'm excited to debut the new Stampin' Mama Store!

You'll find all sorts of goodies over there......programs, Tutorial CDs, handmade creations, kits and as time goes on, there's going to be even more!

If you've been drooling over those Coaster Calendar Magnets I posted here the other day, you can purchase them already made, or you can purchase a fully prepped kit to assemble your own.....there's also Holiday Ornament kits and already made ornaments......these are just a couple of the things you'll find over there.

It's time for Groovy Give-Away Friday!

It seems like this give-away came up SO quick.....but that's probably because I put the previous one up 2 days late. Oh, if only every Friday came up that quickly! :)

I was at the "big box craft store" last night and I found some really great holiday themed goodies in the $1 section. I knew you'd all love them so I picked up a bunch to use for the next few Fridays for my Groovy Give-Aways. Here's the first batch. :)

I found these awesome holiday stickers and some cute holiday ribbon. I really like the contrast of the red, black and white.....a nice, elegant twist on the traditional holiday colors.

Thank you to everyone for sharing your stories. It's amazing how many wonderful people there are out there. And it's always great to hear those stories of people that show up just when we need them, even if we don't know them. I like to think of those people as "angels." My EXCITING news!!!

I've been holding this information in for a little while now and am SO glad I can finally share it!

Kitchen Sink Stamps came onto the stamping scene just recently and I fell in love with their stamps as soon as I saw them! I emailed Maria and asked if she was going to be putting a design team together and she said YES! She asked me to mail her some samples and last Monday, the last day of my vacation, I got the word that I was chosen as one of the new Kitchen Sink Crew! What a great way to end a vacation!

I'll have to share sometime about my favorite vacation spot.....but in the meantime, we're packing up all our stuff to come home from THIS vacation that we're on. We've had a great time, but it'll be nice to go back to some routine and my familiar space. I hope you've all had a great time while I've been gone. We'll be in the skies again tomorrow morning on our way back to Vermont.

I'm in Florida while you're reading this, but it's still only Monday night while I'm typing this entry up. My favorite stamps and stamp sets change all the time. Right now, my favorites are:

• True Friend set from Stampin' UP
• Love you to Pieces (the Autism Awareness set from GinaK Designs)
• Flourishes set from Tuscan Rose

But..........my ALL TIME favorite set is the now retired "Wonderful Wings" set from Stampin' UP. This set will NEVER leave my stamp collection, even though it's retired. The smallest and daintiest of the butterflies is my absolute favorite stamp of all from that set. I love it SO much that I even had it put on my lower back over 4 years ago.

Yes, it's permanent. Yes, I love it. Yes, it's full size. And no, I hope it doesn't turn into a wrinkly, old moth when I get to be 90 years old. But then again, it's on my back, so I won't HAVE to look at it if I don't want to when I'm 90 years old. ;) *wink*

It's time for Groovy Give-Away Friday!

Woohoo! It's Friday again! I have to tell you that these Groovy Give-Away Fridays sure make it feel like the weeks fly by quicker. I asked the husband yesterday if the weeks go by quick for him and he thinks I'm insane. Then again, I'm home stamping and he's at work building things (he's a carpenter) and that's not near as fun as what I'm doing, so I can see how his weeks would drag on. I keep telling him he should take up stamping and that would help his work week to go by quicker, but he doesn't buy it. Just for the record, though, he HAS stamped before. Like a typical guy and carpenter, though, he loves tools the best and the embossing tool and technique is his absolute favorite. One year, I made about 75 holiday cards and they were all embossed with silver snowflakes on black cardstock, as well as embossed on the side with a greeting. He helped with the majority of them and I think that's the most stamping related stuff he's ever done. Well, unless you count hauling all of my stuff when I teach weekend retreats and classes.

So...........anyway........it's Groovy Give-Away Friday and I found some goodies at *cough*the-big-box-craft-store*cough* that I thought would make a great give-away. Here they are. A little 2-pack of Halloween stamps, a sweet lovey-dovey stamp and a spool of trendy striped ribbon.
