Erika, this is a beautiful homespun project! How inventive to use the butterfly as the "toggle" to keep your purse closed! I used to do embroidery on my bluejeans when I was in junior high school, and loved it, too...but have not touched a needle and thread since--except to reluctantly sew on those rogue buttons, etc!

This is a really beautiful project. I love how those colors go together and the butterfly closure is so creative. I love it!

What a wonderful bag! I just love those stitched vines and the butterflies really add life to it. That chocolate brown is such a rich base to work off of and I really like the blanket stitch at the edge. What a fantastic way to combine several crafts into one in a practical and beautiful way! :>
