Design Team Spotlight - Meet Linda McClain
The Journaling 101 Online Scrapbooking Course is right around the corner (Oct. 19th) and this week, I'll be introducing you to the three Design Team members that are on board for this round of the course. I'm so excited for you to learn a little bit about them. They all bring a different style and energy to the course.
First up is Linda McClain. Linda and I have been following each other's blogs for a while now and I was thrilled that Linda said yes when I asked her to be a part of the team.
Linda has a clean style that I adore, but she also can do vintage, shabby chic and more on a whim. She's an all-around style girl! She's recently become in love with the new Stampin' Up My Digital Studio software and has a great eye for balance and color.
Here's a little bit more about Linda in her own words....as well as one of her recent scrapbook pages with the new My Digital Studio software.
I grew up in Indiana but Texas has been home now for over 25 years. My Tom and I enjoy watching our two children grow into incredible adults and have a lot of fun with them and our dogs. My day job as a nursing home surveyor keeps me away from them and my crafting more than I’d like, but it also gives me the opportunity to meet and help amazing people across Central Texas.
The movie producer Cecil B. DeMille
once said "Creativity is a drug I cannot live without." (Being an RN
who scrapbooks, wouldn’t you know I’d just love a quote about both drugs and
creativity?) I do paper craft for selfish reasons – it keeps me sane. So it’s an
extra bonus when people actually like what I make. As a scrapbooker I
was on the charter design team for a local scrapbook store and am an
alumni of Scrapbook Design University and Creative Keepsakes
University. I’ve been honored to be published in www.scrapbooking.com e-magazine, and featured on CardoftheWeek.com, TipJunkie.com and Lori Lynn’s gallery.
I made my first scrapbook when I was 10 years old. I was visiting my Grandma and Neil Armstrong was walking on the moon. Being able to look up at the moon at night and know we were up there was so amazing to me, I collected news clippings and put it in a Ben Franklin Five and Dime scrapbook. Scrapbooking has always been about commemorating special times and precious people, so I'm so incredibly thrilled to be part of Erika's design team for this very special course.
There's still plenty of time to sign up in time for the course to start. For more info and registration details, check it out here ---> Journaling 101 Online Scrapbooking Course
