I recently did a review for Craft Critique on Shimmerz Blings, Paints and Spritzs and this is one of the projects that I created.
This card was done with one of the most versatile stamp sets that GinaK Designs has created - the Bold Flowers stamp set. This set was part of a StampTV kit, but now you can purchase the set on its own. It's perfect to pair with some of GinaK's white paper flowers.
I started out with So Saffron cardstock, then layered with a piece of Really Rust, which I had distressed along the edges with my distressing tool.
I stamped the small flower on a piece of Pure Luxury white cardstock with So Saffron ink. I distressed around the edges of this cardstock, as well. The greeting was stamped with Garden Green ink and also comes in the Bold Flowers set.
The paper flowers were painted with Shimmerz paints and then layered together with a small brad. The leaves were done by folding a piece of ribbon in half into a "V" shape. The ribbon and the brads also came from the StampTV kit. I used pop-dots to mount the flowers on my card so that they sat flat against the brad backing the ribbon. I also love dimension!
Make sure to check out some of the video tutorials on StampTV to see what else you can do with this set (look in the right hand side bar for a complete listing of all the videos Gina has done).
Happy Creating!
