It's been a little while since we've posted here, but I have a bunch of videos that need to be edited and put up. If only there were more time in the day!
Creative Girly is back to show you how to create your very own trinket or candy box using popsicle sticks, glue and embellishments.
These boxes make great holiday gifts for grandparents or even for Dad's desk at the office. They're wonderful teacher's gifts, as well.
We found that hot glue works best since it hardens quick and gives the sticks a very sturdy hold, but we don't recommend using hot glue with small children unless there is adult supervision and an adult using the glue gun in most cases. Regular school glue will work just fine, but the box will need to sit longer for the glue to dry, as well as to be ready to paint.
Here's what you'll need:
- Popsicle sticks (you can use either wooden sticks or foam sticks)
- glue (if using a hot glue gun, please have adult supervision)
- paint
- glitter or pom-poms
The foam popsicle sticks make a slightly flexible box and aren't meant for heavy items.
As always, please have adult supervision when creating with our instructions and video tutorials. Most importantly, have fun and let your imagination soar!
We'd love to hear your comments!
